Every now and then I’ll be sending some postcards from Kuwait – here are the first three batches!
Some photos willl give you a general feel for Kuwait City and the country, with its landmarks, museums, events, and people.
Other pictures are more research-related: I’m here for my PhD fieldwork, interviewing women activists, Islamic preachers & teachers, and business women about their views on gender segregation.
While there is much more mixing between the two sexes here in Kuwait than in Saudi Arabia, the pictures will also show you some of the separate spaces for men and women that I’ve encountered.
